This is an impressive building and its proportions are well conceived. It is based on a typical Prague hotel arrangement with a cinema in the basement, a patisserie on the ground floor, a cafe on the first floor and the hotel accommodation above. Janak opened up the cafe interior by means of a large window, probably the biggest of its time, looking out towards Wenceslas Square with its busy traffic and lively atmosphere.
