Architect, painter, furniture designer, scenographic designer, studied at the Czech Institute of Technology, a member of Artel, Manes and Skupina vytvarnych umelcu. Hofman was awarded a gold medal at the Paris Decorative Arts Exhibition in 1925, a great prize at the Art and Technology Exhibition in Paris in 1937 and at the Milan Trienale in 1940. An important exponent of Czech architectural Cubism. Most of his Prague projects were unrealized.
