Architect, studied at the Czech Institute of Technology in Prague under Professor Josef Schulz and at Vienna Academy of Fine Arts under Otto Wagner. A member of Skupina vytvarnych umelcu, Manes and Devetsil. Chochol was one of the main Cubist architects and created many fine examples in the Vysehrad area of Prague. Soon after he came under the influence of Purism and Functionalism, best reflected in unrealized projects such as the remarkable proposal for Osvobozene divadlo (Liberated Theatre), 1927.
