The process is a series of loops in a chaotic string where each step in the evolutionary development is continuously read and tested against a rule that defines a path-structure in space. Although manual intervention and selection were used to control the development of the 2,000 evolutionary steps in this sequence, many stages were entirely unpredicted by what precedes them.
